What is Delta 8?

Delta 8 is a type of cannabis product that exists in the space between marijuana and CBD. While it has similarities to both, it is its own product.

The product is a derivative of hemp. Delta 8 itself is what happens when the THC in legally usable THC is converted to Delta 8. Unlike CBD, Delta 8 is reported to actually make people feel a degree of intoxication. It is not quite as intense as marijuana, but users do report a mild euphoria and a change in perception of reality. A variety of anecdotal reports exist about the effects of the substance, with users reporting this type of high. For example, one user reports feeling energized and able to conduct more work. Others have said it helps them feel less anxious and that it reduces pain and anxiety.

Delta 8 exists in an interesting legal space between marijuana and hemp. It is currently legal at the federal level – or at least it isn’t illegal. However, thus far, many states have banned Delta-8, with more following, arguing that it is essentially a drug. Furthermore, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration has proposed banning Delta 8, so how long the product is on the market may be in the air. However, for the moment, unless you live in a state in which Delta 8 has been banned, its purchase, use, and transportation are perfectly legal.

Like CBD products, Delta 8 is available in many forms. These include edibles like gummies, vape cartridges, tinctures, and smokable rocks.

Drove out to take advantage of the large selection of bulk goods, but left empty-handed because it’s the owner’s new policy to not allow customers to use their own containers. Being forced to use single-use plastic baggies is a huge shame. I’ve also found several of my favorite products at quite a markup compared to other shops like Organic Food Depot. Lesson learned.

The current store is a ghost of its earlier days at the corner of Pacific and Laskin. The products I saw were not of the same quality as 20 years ago. I had to read a lot of labels until I found a product that was of the same caliber as 20 years ago. I'm not sure if the staff is less knowledgeable or if I'm just a lot more experienced.

TLDR: a red headed woman accused me of shoplifting.
Just left the store and let me tell you my experience… I went in and was greeted by a Caucasian woman with red hair. I told her I was looking for some candy due to a low blood sugar and she told me where it was. I purchased the candy and ate it to get some carbs and continued to shop. I even spoke with this lady and another employee about putting in an application To work there because I overheard them talking about needing staff and I currently am unemployed. The woman that greeted me followed me almost everywhere in the store, which I am used to as I am in my electric wheelchair and it’s common for able bodied people to offer me the some help when shopping. although I had my pca there to assist me. But it was the way she was watching me that made me feel uncomfortable. At one point I picked up a bottle of fenugreek that I was considering buying. I have heard great things about it and just wasn’t sure if I really wanted to spend the 12 something dollars it cost. As I finished looking around the store I returned the fenugreek to the shelf I picked it up off of (well within view of the woman who i had spoken with) and headed to the door. Took a brief pause to glance at the cbd on the counter by the exit and started to leave. This red headed woman literally asks me if I wanted to buy the fenugreek as I’m 3 feet from the door. I told her not this time because of $ but that I wanted to show my friend this store and I’d be back. Then she asks me if I need her help putting it back……….. i. Can’t. Even. This kind of treatment was totally unwarranted and I am so disappointed and won’t be returning again. Not to be too extra but Whole Foods is closer to my house AND more affordable. I literally drove farther so I could support the local community and was accused of shop lifting.

Dont make the customer the "scapegoat" when you're having a tiff between staff members.

You know you carry products sold online, at prices that are better than online!!!... and no shipping fees!!!

.... but not awesome to be used as an "off ramp" because you're overwhelmed by information from your collegue.
